Office of Forestry

Protects forestry resources while offering guidance on sustainable forestry practices

The Office of Forestry suppresses timberland wildfires, promotes sound forest management practices, disseminates information, enforces timber-related laws, and investigates timber theft.

Additionally, the Office of Forestry operates and maintains the Alexander State Forest located in central Louisiana, seven miles south of Alexandria.
