It's of the utmost importance that we all remain vigilant to fire weather conditions and adhere to the burn bans issued at the parish level. This collective effort is crucial in preventing a repeat of last year's devastating wildfire season. Everyone's attention is needed, especially when you consider the current drought maps that show many areas are abnormally dry.
We encourage everyone to check for any burn bans in their area. You can easily do this by visiting https://www.ldaf.la.gov/land/fire/safety . This simple action can play a significant role in preventing wildfires and ensuring the safety of our communities.
